1. Farming and Agricultural Business:
   Agriculture today comes in a stunning array of shapes and sizes, encompassing small farms at the heart of local food systems, medium-sized farms that supply regional retail and restaurant markets, and the largest farms that send food all over the world. ABFS is the natural home for students who want to work directly in agricultural production or in complementary agricultural businesses that help farmers to feed the world.
2. Food Systems Management: 
   Between farms that grow food and people that eat it stand an incredible diversity of businesses that move, process, package and sell the food we buy in the grocery store. Running these businesses requires expertise in business management and an understanding of food systems at every step along the supply chain—skills at the heart of an ABFS education.
3. Agriculture and Food Policy: 
   Food systems are shaped by government actions taken at many different levels, from local school boards to county food policy councils to state and federal agencies that regulate agriculture and food safety and promote healthy eating. ABFS teaches what these policies are and how they are made, preparing students to work in government itself or in organizations that seek to influence what government does.
